Distribution services
York Publishing Distribution (YPD) is the book distribution side of YPS. It provides a comprehensive distribution service for small- to medium-size organisations. We recognise that an efficient and cost effective fulfilment service is crucial to their success.
We deliver an efficient, dedicated and responsive service that larger distributors find difficult to provide. We aim to work with, rather than just for, our clients – they are all important to us.
YPD customers include both major and new publishers, charitable organisations, research organisations and educational publishers.
YPD is flexible and can tailor the system to meet your needs:
- Full service: YPD handle all aspects of order processing and fulfilment, payment processing and warehousing.
- Order fulfilment only: some publishers prefer to maintain their own sales ledger, handling the order processing and invoicing themselves. Despatch information is sent to YPD for the pick pack and despatch. (This is of particular interest to non UK publishers who do not have a presence in the UK but are generating sales from their website.)
- Print on demand (POD)and distribution: This innovative service combines our digital short run and print on demand facility with our distribution service. You can make significant savings on both production costs and overheads.
- Distribution for publishers outside the UK: we provide a fulfilment service to the UK and Western Europe for independent publishers worldwide.
